Women’s health and HIV
My time at Klemm Analysis Group put me in regular collaboration with the Women’s Health and Fertility Branch in CDC’s Division of Reproductive Health. I continued that work when CDC hired me as a federal statistician in February 2000. I developed a special focus on cohort studies of women with or at risk for HIV, including prospective cohorts (the HIV Epidemiology Research Study), retrospective cohorts (the Thai infectivity study), and randomized controlled trials (the Breastfeeding and Nutrition [BAN] Study).
My HIV-related work extended into men of color who have sex with men, where I collaborated with Greg Millett on 2 meta-analyses.
