Data and health equity
After I retired from CDC, I taught a course on statistical regression and health equity at Meharry Medical College’s School of Global Health. My students were a mix of researchers, practitioners, and advocates seeking to respond rigorously to data-based claims about health equity. Through that teaching experience, I transformed the motivating role of values into a rhetoric of data for health equity.
